Dr. Flávio orders a range of panels depending on your health concerns — from comprehensive metabolic panels and lipid profiles to advanced thyroid function tests, full hormone panels, inflammatory markers, micronutrient assessments, and specialized gut health testing when indicated.
Yes. On-site blood draw is available at Solace Wellness Aesthetics in Fort Myers. You do not need to travel to a separate lab facility for most testing ordered by Dr. Flávio.
Standard panels check for disease within broad normal ranges. Functional panels look at optimal ranges — identifying early dysfunction before it becomes diagnosable disease. Dr. Flávio also orders additional markers not included in standard panels, such as Reverse T3, SHBG, homocysteine, and RBC magnesium.
For most metabolic and lipid panels, fasting for 8–12 hours is recommended. Dr. Flávio will provide specific instructions based on the panels ordered at your appointment. Water is always permitted during a fast.
A standard thyroid test typically includes only TSH. A functional thyroid panel adds Free T3, Free T4, Reverse T3, TPO antibodies, and thyroglobulin antibodies. This expanded panel reveals conversion problems, subclinical dysfunction, and autoimmune thyroid conditions that TSH alone misses.
Most standard panels return results within 1–3 business days. Specialty and functional medicine panels may take 5–10 business days. Dr. Flávio reviews all results with you personally — not just a portal notification.
